Adam is a Champaign County native and a Heritage High School alumnus. Following graduation, he served in the Navy with VFA 34, specializing in F18 Hornets, and completed two deployments to the Gulf. Adam holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Eastern Illinois University.
